Gradou, Kefalonia. A little after midnight.
The British submarine, the HMS D. Anderson, secretly drops off British Lieutenant & Royal Navy Special Unit Commander, Gerasimos Zapantis. He’s on an undercover and dangerous mission. Greece is suffering from the triple occupation (German, Italian and Bulgarian) and the island of Kefalonia is under the authority of fascists Italy. At the same time a small German force is camps out in various areas of the island.
When Commander Zapantis arrives in Kefalonia, he has to face more than the tragedy of war: suspicion, fear, hostility, betrayals, family conflicts, fatalities. And a smart, beautiful Kefalonian girl in the middle of it all...
