Περιγραφή

The world must know the truth. The global scientific community should inform the people that we humans, we have treated space exactly the way we treat our beloved planet. The truth is that we fill it with trash. Accumulated trash in millions of fragments. In million dangerous fragments that have a vast velocity of twenty times the speed of a bullet, increasing every passing day. As Nasa’s officials describe Low Earth Orbit area is an orbital space junkyard.

This tremendous impact assumption means that we are close to the moment that we could have a space vehicle destruction with unknown damage measurements and the greatest fear of human life loss becoming reality. The chain reaction of this kind of impact is enormous. According to European Space Agency’s studies as we will examine closely later, it would have a devastating effect on Europe’s economic activities in space (worth directly over 8 billion Euros) and seriously affect the global economy. (ESA. 2018). In 2018, the global space economy -an enabler for the world’s economy- was valued at 345 Billion $ (US. Dollars). Any loss of free and open use of space due to uncontrolled debris growth would cripple the humankind’s future. In the same Esa’s study described that if we couldn’t perform Active Debris Removal soon, it would be impossible the use of space and any related mission from any space venture.
