The project entitled Governance, Pluralism & Trans – Nationalisation in Europe consists of a Jean Monnet Network of eight European Universities, their research centres and Jean Monnet Chairs. The Governance, Pluralism & Trans-Nationalisation in Europe (GovUnet) Network contributes to information gathering, debate enhancement, good practice exchange, knowledge acquisition and promotion of the European Governance and European
Integration in societies, as well as the dissemination of the results of academic research in the field of European Union studies through the networking of doctoral candidates and graduate students with objects related to European Integration process.
The Network acronym GovUnet is standing for Governance Universities Network. The aim of the network is to create, maintain and evolve a vivid and interactive dialogue, investing in research and
addressing critical issues in European Governance and Integration, with the active involvement of academics, students, experts, researchers, and representatives of European, national and local actors.
In particular, the Jean Monnet actions aim, among others, at promoting excellence in teaching and research in European Union studies and fostering the dialogue between the academic world and policy-makers in order to strengthen governance of EU policies. The GovUnet consists of the following partners: University of Aegean (Coordinator), University of Piraeus, University of Cadiz, University of Siegen, University Babes-Bolyai of Cluj-Napoca, Université Catholique de Louvain, University of Luxembourg, Panteion Univeristy of Social and Political Studies.
