The selection of Volos as an Olympic City for 2004 is an important achievement in the modern history of the city. This, to a great extent, is based on the city`s social economic and cultural infrastructure, as well as an optimistic and ambitious prospects.
This publication aims at contributing towards helping the public get acquainted with the achievements of the city of Volos during the 19th and the first half of the 20th century, when the city`s main city`s modern image.
