The Concise Dictionary of Mathematical Terms is intended as a reference tool of reliable definitions and accurate explanations of mathematical terms for students of Mathematics whose native language is not English.
It is an ideal reference guide for students preparing for a GCE or I.E. examination in Mathematics, or first year college and university students who are taking Mathematics as one of their courses.
It consists of two reference sections, Greek English and English Greek, where terms are presented alphabetically, and of eight books, each covering a separate branch of Mathematics, where each term is presented in context.
Each term is listed in the reference section and analyzed further in the relevant book(s) of this volume. The user is encouraged to look up the term in the reference section first and then refer to the appropriate section(s) where the term is used in the context of a particular branch of Mathematics.
